Navarrabiomed
Navarrabiomed is a biomedical research centre of the Government of Navarre that promotes and facilitates the research of public healthcare professionals.
Its location in the heart of the Hospital Complex of Navarre encourages close proximity and collaboration between researchers and professionals working in clinical and healthcare environments.
Navarrabiomed stands out for being a mixed centre, thanks to the agreement signed in 2016 with the Public University of Navarre. This agreement sets out to combine the efforts of both institutions to increase the competitiveness of research in the region.
At present, the biomedical research of Navarrabiomed is organised into 9 of its own groups that carry out their activities on the centre premises and 26 linked groups that cooperate and benefit from the critical mass it generates, but which perform their research activities in other facilities of the Health Department.
All the groups pursue a common aim: to be at the forefront of knowledge in order to obtain and implement new therapies and treatments to improve the well-being of citizens as part of a sustainable health system.
To make this a reality, Navarrabiomed has the support of the Miguel Servet Foundation, a research management institution that advises, administers and disseminates public health research activities of the region.
They aim at setting up innovations in the oncology field.
